There were also women looking on from a distance.
Among them were Mary Magdalene,
Mary the mother of the younger James and of Joses, and Salome.
These women had followed him when he was in Galilee
and ministered to him.
There were also many other women
who had come up with him to Jerusalem. - Mark 15:40-41
I've been in awe since yesterday thinking about these women ministering to Jesus. How did they know Jesus?
What was it that drew them close to Jesus? Was it His words? His gentle way of looking into their eyes and being able to see their hearts? Was it His ability to accept people for who they were and not what their sins were?
How did these women minister to Jesus? What was it that they did for him? Did they cook and clean for Jesus and His followers? Did they sing songs that touched the depths of His heart? Did they bring him hope in the way they cared for others? Did they make Him laugh and bring joy to His life?
Can you imagine "ministering" to Jesus like these women did? What a job!
How can I minister to Jesus?
What would He want me to do?
